	Responsibilities
	Current College Students in the DFW Area: this is a great opportunity to get some practical experience using your technical skills in Texas! The Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for monitoring Verizon Wireless’ switching network environmental alarms from a centralized NOC ensuring high availability and attainment of service levels. This temporary position is for students currently enrolled in a college degree program with at least one year left in the program. Duties will include supporting NOC and field personnel in yearly site alarm verification. Utilizing telephone, trouble ticketing system, fault detection system and XNG database. Updating XNG database upon successful completion of tests.
	Qualifications
	********If you are currently enrolled in a Technical college degree program and have at least a year left until graduation, this may be for you ******** -Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate/Graduate Technical degree program with at least one year left to graduation -3.0 GPA or better -Demonstrated telephone, communications, and interpersonal skills are required. -Ability to gather and analyze information is required. -Excellent PC skills and software knowledge including: Windows 98/NT Word/Excel Spreadsheets is required. -Excellent problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills with the ability to take appropriate action are required. Make quality decisions and accept responsibility for results. -Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment is required. -Ability to follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures is required. -Good organizational skills are required. -Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment and adjust to priority changes is required. -Commitment to quality and the motivation and ability to work well in a team environment is required
